Homes of Buckingham

A market town of red brick and stone, with new neighbourhoods along the Great Ouse.

Buckingham's old centre is Georgian and handsome: tall sash windows, deep rooms and floors that have been carpeted for fifty years and are ready to breathe again. The town has grown steadily too, with new homes at Lace Hill and around the university.

It is a short drive from our base and we are in Buckingham most weeks.

Why Buckingham homeowners call us

Because Georgian rooms reward proportion, and we choose board widths accordingly.

A tall-ceilinged Buckingham front room looks wrong with narrow boards and right with wide ones, run towards the window. It is a small decision that changes the whole room, and it is the kind of decision we will talk through with you before anything is ordered.

Engineered oak

Wide-board engineered oak for Georgian and Victorian front rooms, oiled to a soft matt so the sash-window light does not glare.

Herringbone

A popular choice for any room, herringbone adds character and rhythm. We set out the pattern carefully so it feels balanced throughout the space.

LVT

For busy family homes, often with smaller children and pets. It gives you the character, look and feel of timber without the anxiety of spillages and scratches.
